I need to insure my ring. Can you tell me about how much it costs and who you insured with?
Thanks!

Re: Engagement Ring Insurance
Mine is insured through All State and the amount you pay each month depends on how much your ring is appraised for. We had to go to an appraiser and then bring the certificate to the insurance company-they figured out how much it would cost. I think mine is like $27 a month. HTH

i'm paying about $130 per year (so like $11 per month) but yours may be more or less depending on the value of your ring

Re: Engagement Ring Insurance
Damn I have to look into mine more. I have a 3ct (30k) and it was added to my homeowners insurance for about $500!
Guess I am paying too much. Well actually my parents are nice enough to pay for it this year because I live at home, but I am moving next month and will then be on my own to pay.

No, you will have to go to an independent appraiser. I went to the Jewelery Judge in Garden City. He was on point and very honest. He never leaves with your ring, he appraises the ring right in front of you and gives you a certified copy and a copy to send to your insurance company.

The more expensive the ring, the more you will pay. $500 for a 30k ring isn't too bad...its not the size, but the appraisal
