Re: Engagement sessions
I think it is a horrible deal. She takes pictures for 2 hours and you only get 10 images on a disc? My photographer took pictures for about 1.5 hours and we go over 500 images on a disc.
A printed 8x10 at a photo store is under $10 and about $4- $5 at CVS.
I don't know of any deals but look on groupon. I don't think many photographers are going to be advertising now because the summer is their busy season.

Thank you! I know I was like only 10 pictures?

Most photographers will give you all the images on the disk. Also a lot of photags will give u the engagement shoot for free if u book with them. Look around!

I would def look around because most photographers include E-shoot..I agree you should look at Groupon or Living Social for deals

The only thing that bothers me about this is that you only get 10 pictures. We did our engagement photos with no date booked so we did pay for it (and were told the amount will be deducted from a wedding package if we use her for the wedding). I didnt get anywhere near 500 photos but definitely more than 10. I wouldnt get too hung up on the number (quality over quantity) but I dont love that their limiting you to 10. Shop around and good luck!

Thank you everyone :)
Our photographer is not having our engagement pics with the packet bc she's already working with my really Tight but I mean Tight budget....so I personally think that throwing the epics would be taking advantage of herand her work..
But thanks eeveryone :)

Why don't you ask for a quote from your photog for an engagement shoot? She knows you have a tight budget but was willing to work with it for your wedding. Also, great way to see her work and feel comfy in front of the camera with her.

I dont think it was a good deal. Our pics came with the photographer and he shot for 3 hours and we got over 200 pics. The 10 pics would bother me.

In my opinion the main reason to take engagement pictures is to work with your photographer to get to know them and get to see their work before the wedding so that you can tell them if there is anything you like or didnt like before your wedding.
So I would suggest that you ask your photographer to give you a price for engagement pictures
