FH and I have our e-shoot next week. I'm so excited to shoot with our wedding day photographer and to get the ball rolling on this stuff. Once we get the shots, I'll order and end STDs and I'm sure these next 10 months are going to go by so fast! Both of us have been wondering what we should should wear for the shoot. I was thinking about a dress, maybe a short flirty white one or something colorful, blue or pink. Photographer recommended not wearing a dress because it limits the positions we can shoot in. Arg???!!! Also, I've been trying to think of any kind of props to bring. I've seen a couple of banners on etsy, and I was also thinking I could make one I but can't decide. We know we wnat to use some of our shots to make our table numbers but don't think we actually want to hold the numbers for the shoot, I would photoshop them in later. Any suggestions? Any must take shots??

i have my shoot next week too...good catch on the dress thing but we're going to the hamptons and then wine tasting i sorta feel like it dictates sun dress...maybe ill bring a few outfits to change into

That's so cool that you're making a whole day of it. Our shoot is late but maybe FH will agree to go out to dinner or something. Ate you using any props?

We did ours yesterday and I'm glad I wore capris... we were sitting a lot and a dress would have been awkward. Dresses are so cute and I wanted to wear one but the pants were definitely more functional.

I wore a maxi dress for mine and it was fine! I actually had 2 outfits, one was a bright orange maxi dress and the other one was a navy knee length dress. I definitely preferred the pictures with the bright colors!

we are making a day of it...we have the first part of our shoot at the hampton classic horse show...i wear a dress every year to the show and traditionally on grand prix sunday, many girls wear big sun hats also...i finally got one late last year and plan to wear it for some of the shots this year...then after the horse show, we're going down the road to the wollfer vineyard...
im thinking of bringing a change of clothes for the vineyard but i was planning for another dress...maybe i should do dressy shorts and a top with heels?? im not sure...i guess i know what ill be doing this weekend...
we're also getting a limo to bring us out there and back and we're bringing the puppy...we have someone else coming out with us to keep an eye on the pup when we're not using him...

Fh and i actually had 2 rounds of 'epics' taken before we were even engaged-and i wore a dress to both
as for props, for one of the shoots our photog brought a large heart that had 'love' cut out of the middle..it was cute
for our wedding pics we do have an ampersand we're using for pics

I should edit: no criticism of dresses at all - I LOVE dresses and wore one to our first round of e-pics in the studio. I just realized at those pics that I personally am always pulling and adjusting. We also did the second shoot at the beach and I was concerned about wind :) Go with whatever outfit is your favorite and you're most comfortable in! Have fun!
