Engagement Shoot Location??!!

This is first my time starting a post... So here goes nothing! I'm looking for a scenic location to shoot engagement pics with my photographer, Jaylim. I mentioned Gantry Plaza to them and they said I should look into permits etc. that all sounds too complicated lol. Where else is a great central spot for different scenic shots that doesn't require any excessive fees & paperwork/wait time?

Hi!

I was just in ur shoes not too long ago. I was totally overwhelmed trying to pick a spot especially since i wanted to take them soon and nothing is blooming outside. I finally decided on Planting Field b/c they have a lot of like structures and greenery so we can get some nice outdoor shots hopefully even though its stills winter. We did have to get a permit cost $100 for 3 hrs. If you go on their website you can download the form and send it to them!

I think Old Westbury Gardens has a similar situation!

Planting Fields is really nice my friend did that. She even brought props to make it look like she was having a picnic. I am doing an indoor and outdoor. (i did the indoor ones already) For my outdoor ones im doing it a little different since ill have garden pictures from my location- I'm doing Rockaway beach (where we met), Time square and DUMBO (overlooking the brooklyn bridge). They make great pics-i have seen a lot of people do them there. I dunno if I need permits. Does anyone know? i just plan to show up and take pictures till they stop us

we did jones beach because we love the beach- but centennial gardens in floral park is really nice and mill neck manor

we did ours at sands point preserve castle .. absolutely gorgeous! im so happy we did ours there :)
