Tip...I know owners sometimes don't take but def agree you should be prepared to tip.

I say tip. He can refuse it, but it's nice to offer. Many may also feel weird about accepting a dinner invitation.

We didn't tip (our photog is also the owner )but we tipped his lighting assistant and we offered both of them a drink (we did some our shots in a bar!). We plan on giving him a larger tip on the wedding night

It totally depends on how he has served you. It’s not compulsion that you have to tip him but if you liked his service you can tip him for that.
