Engagment Party idea!

So at first we werent going to do an e-party, for many reasons. But, i wanted one and now we all agreed to do something small. Its looking like the family and bridal party are gonna go out to dinner. There is a place on city island where we had my parent's 50th b-day party and they have a nice little room in the back and we can have the party there.

So, i was thinking about doing it on 2/13/11 and having it be a valentines theme. I already found these super cute invites on vista print and i was thinking about red, pink and white hearts or decorations. The restaurant provides balloons, but i would also like some ideas for DIY projects. I am totally doing assigned seating because for my parents party it was insane for who wants to seat with who and how there wasnt enough space at one talk to fit 20 people....it pissed me off. So any ideas on a temple to make place cards? Would michaels have blank ones that i can draw on etc?
I'll prob do candy as favors.

Any other ideas?

I like the single flower idea! maybe you can find little boxes of chocolates for favors and you can make stickers with your & FH's name to personalize them.

I'm sure Michaels will have blank place cards - I believe I may have saw them at party city too

awesome this is exactly what my parents are doing for me :)

My mom got personalized M & Ms with our face and names on it. She is putting them in a container (from Michaels) and is putting the container at everyones seat, with their names on the tag!
