Engagment Present for FH??

Hey Girls --

I am curious to know if anyone had gotten there FH anything for after you got engaged...Like a present for him....Some girl asked my FH what i got him--And he was like nothing...and she goes well that is weird.... I'd really like to kick this girl in the head but whatever she is just a sorry jealous person...

But really- Am I supposed to get him something??


Someone help and if so I need ideas pronto!

I didn't get him anything. That's definitely a newer thing. People didn't do this back in the day.

I never got him anything. . then again we got engaged right before Christmas and I spent a fortune on him as it was on gifts. I will buy him a nice wedding gift so I'm saving for that.

FH needed a nice briefcase to go to his clients with so i bought him a nice leather briefcase from coach

No I didn't. I wanted to but money is tight. I am going to get him a really nice wedding gift.

I got him a David Wright jersey and Mets playoff tickets. It was for the engagement and his birthday...all in all about $250...but for both...not bad

Its personal choice, definitley not something you have to do.
I did however get my FH a 42' Sony TV
