English majors or those good with grammar

Invite wording....

If the sentence is broken up between lines, does the first letter of each line get a Cap? Or is it just the beginning of the sentence?

Do I use punctuation?

Verse is:

Life is not measured
by the number of breaths
you take, but by moments that
take your breath away
We ask you to join us
as our daughter
Megan Grace
gives her hand in marriage
to
Mark Steven Simons

I would probably do it like this (English major, graduated in 06):

Life is not measured
by the number of breaths you take,
but by moments that
take your breath away.
We ask you to join us
as our daughter,
Megan Grace,
gives her hand in marriage to
Mark Steven Simons.

Do you have to have the lines like that or can you do this:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take,
but by moments that take your breath away.
We ask you to join us as our daughter,
Megan Grace,
gives her hand in marriage to
Mark Steven Simons.

If its written in verse (like a poem) then you can do whatever you want with it. Punctuation affects the way people read each line so i would go with puctuation.

The only thing that seems out of place to my is the word 'to' on its own line - its like your giving emphasis to that word. Unless you wanted to enphasize the word - then its all good.

I think that works! Plus you broke up both sentences in the same place, so it flows easily.
