I can't believe college students don't know this stuff. Have you tried looking online? I get a lot of my lesson plans for class that way.

I know exactly what you mean! I teach developmental writing for college and their first papers were ridiculous. I actually taught run ons and fragments yesterday.

I don't have any lessons per say, I kinda follow the book and make up sentences as I go along... I wish I coule be of more help.

You have to see some of these sentences! How did these children graduate?

While we were enjoying our ices some photographer from the local paper wanted to take pictures of everyone in the store that was a little weird to me I'm not used to sitting in a store and someone comes up to you asking if you'd like to be in the paper so we all agreed and I'm still waiting for my cousin to send me a copy of that paper.

I SWEAR that's an exact quote from a student paper.

I'd like to know what kind of jobs these kids they will end up getting?

I'm certainly not an English teacher, and I am struggling to remember anything from my high school English classes. But it is possible that this is just laziness on the part of the students? I wonder if it has anything to do with people always text-messaging, emaling, etc...honestly, even on these boards I see posts like this sometimes. I can't believe that people dont know how to form a sentence.
