English teachers, please help me...

I'm writing my thesis and am SOOO close to finishing (it's due tomorrow). Please help me:

Which of these two sentences is more correct? And is there any other grammatical correction that's necessary?

1:
Once a visitor is drawn to an exhibit, it should be designed in such a way so as to promote exploration and “minds-on” learning.

2:
Once an exhibit attracts a visitor, it should be designed in such a way so as to promote exploration and “minds-on” learning.

i am an english teacher!!!! i like the first one better...congrats on almost being finished with your thesis....i remember how great that felt...are you at ST. Joes by any chance?

The first one, since the antecedent is closer to the pronoun that refers to it.

I still have to beef up 2 sections and write my conclusion, but tomorrow when I hand it in, there will be lots of celebrating!!
