Entering the Reception

I have been to 2 weddings I think...I am a loser...so forgive my stupid question...

What do FH and I do when we walk into the reception? Just stand in the middle of the dance floor? Circle the dance floor?

your photog will tell you what to do and where to go!

Either the photographer or Manager will tell you exactly what to do and where to go. Usually after the bride and groom are introduced, you lead right into the first dance.

The Bridal Attendant/Matre'd will tell you what to do.

Not so much the photographer. All of the vendors take their instructions and cues form the RH.

Typically when the bridal party enters first then for 2 lines and a 'bridge' with their arms. The bride and groom enter the RH, go around the BP once, and then go underneath the bridge that they built. Your photographer will be on the other side where you come out taking pics. Then the bridal attendant will take all of the bo-k's and First dance is next.

Oh...I totally don't want that bridge. I suppose I have to let my maitre'd know in advance

Yup, you will let the RH know that you DO NOT want that when you go for your final appointment.. We did like a circle past all of our BP and parents and then they took my Bo-k and we had our first dance.
