Entrance Order

A bit confused on how the bridal party enters the church. Do the flower girls go first or right before the bride? Do the girls walk alone or with the groomsmen?

Typically Flower girls go last (right before bride) - I've seen both ways - BMs with escorts and BMs alone.

I am doing with escorts, my MOH's might go alone.

Well the MOH always walks by herself bc the BM is already at the alter but I have been to weddings where the bridemaids walk down with the groomsmen and I've also seen where all the groomsmen are already at the alter and each bridemaid walks down by herself. I guess it is a preference thing.

If your getting married in a church, the priest might direct your party how to walk in.

our music director recommended the flower girl going ahead of my moh - this way she doesnt slow me down and i trip in my shoes. big worry!!!

I have a small but odd # of people in the bridal party so I'm thinking of having the men (4 besides the groom) stand at the alter and just have the MOHs and BM (3 total) walk down the isle.

i'm thinking about having my flower girl go after the bridesmaids but before my MOH's but partially because shes young and shy and my sisters are MOH and they can encourage her if she gets scared and I don't have to be there worrying about it right before i walk down the aisle. lately ive seen it mostly with the best man already at the alter with the groom, but the groomsmen escorting the bridesmaids down the aisle.

The flowergirl goes right before the bride...the flowers the flowergirl scatters is for the Bride to walk on...

As far as if girls come in alone or with groomsmen...I've been in bridal parties where it was done both ways...

I personally like it better when the bridesmaids walk down with the groomsmen
