Entryway & Kitchen - Best Flooring options

Entryway & Kitchen - Best Flooring options

Right now I have pergo throughout the house (Entry - Living Room - Kitchen - landings).
The pergo is buckling and coming up in the entryway and areas of the kitchen where the dishwasher and washing machine have leaked. I'd like to redo the floors.

Should we put in real wood? Do they hold up well in entries and kitchens? Especially because of the potential water.
Or should we do tile?

If we did real wood, I would redo the livingroom and landings as well so that it all matches, but if tile is better then I would do just the entry and kitchen.

Thanks for your help!

I would do wood in the entry and LR, but not in the kitchen. I would put ceramic tile in the kitchen because of what you said already about water. jmo

I would think tile might be the best option. Even real wood exposed to water and moisture will lift and buckle.
