envelope wording

envelope wording

When addressing your invitation envelopes, should it read
1) Mr. and Mrs. John Smith

or

2) Mr. & Mrs. John Smith

I recently got an invitation that used the '&', but on the sheet I got from my invitation place, it said to write out the word 'and.'

I wrote out the word instead of using the symbol. I thought that it looked better, but that is JMO.

I was told you never abrieviate except for Mr. and Ms. and Mrs.

I wrote Mr. and Mrs. John Smith on my invites!!

Its funny that you know the Smiths also!
