I was just wondering what you guys are doing to fill out the envelopes for your invitations? I don't have pretty handwriting. I heard of printing labels and putting them on....but I don't think that's the norm? How and where do you get them addressed?

Re: Envelopes...
I am using a site called inkspun.com
you send your outer and inner envelopes to them with a word doc of all addresses and they will do the calligraphy for you. its the cheapest i have found so far at $.39 for outer and $.29 for inner

Re: Envelopes...
Labels are not the norm. Some people will start clutching their pearls with furious abandon at the mere mention of labels. Personally, I don't think a clear label in the same font as your invites is anything to get in a huff over, but there you have it.

Re: Envelopes...
I used a vendor on here in Plainview. it's called All Type they were $1.00 an envelope for outer only. This was computer calligraphy. Real calligraphy starts around 2.50-3 an envelope
I work for the post office & deliver mail. I see tons, and tons and tons of envelopes (weddings, sweeet 16 etc) & I would say in my Opionion about half have labels. It's really a personal preferance...but if you can afford it. I say go get the calligraphy

I used clear labels with a fancy font. Not one person said anything and I used a forever stamp on the envelopes

I'm going to use clear labels with the same font as my invites... calligraphy is nice, but if you are on a tight budget and have to cut corners, i would say addressing the invitations is one place you could start, without jeopardizing the quality of your wedding. JMO.

Re: Envelopes...
I printed them myself on my computer (no labels, printed onto the envelope itself). It took a little while to get it right - but once I did it was smooth sailing. I think this is the way to go honestly. You're in control, it costs less and is pretty easy - and it looks very nice.

Re: Envelopes...
I had my address printed onto the rsvp envelopes when I ordered the invitations. For the outer ones, I got clear labels printed by a friend of mine. She has the software and it came out very nice.

I don't know where you live, but I went to The Writing Place in Stony Brook Village....
$1 per envelope, and they are so incredibly nice there....Good Luck...
