Envelopes Addressing...multiple guest one address...

I have several envelopes that I am inviting the parents and their son and then a date for the son. Does the son get a seperate invitatinon or do I include them all on the same one, since they live at the same place?

I don't know the actual rule on this, but I think you should send the son (+ guest) his own invite.

If he is over 21 he does...according to etiquette...I think it would be to many people on the envelope anyway

If he is older, definitely send him his own invite!

I did this:

Mrs. Jane Doe
Mr. Son Doe and Guest

or

Mr and Mrs John Doe
Mr. Son Doe and Guest

on the inner envelope

ETA: I didnt send two invites unless it was a separate apartment in the house.

I simply said Mr. & Mrs. & Family.. ( my fiance hardly sees his cousins, but they are under the age of 14)

Over 18 gets their own invite.

Wow, word for word, that's weird.

I agree over 18 equals own invite.

We have one household that is getting FOUR invites!
