Envelopes- Handwritten?

Envelopes- Handwritten?

We are having a small wedding on a tight budget. My invites are DIY from AC Moore.

Do I have to address the envelopes by hand; both to the guest and my return address?

What about the response cards?

Thanks!

If you are on a budget I suggest using clear labels. they are inexpensive and they will save you a lot of time. Handwriting all of that might take you a while!

I have the clear labels, that's what I was going to do. ANd use a nice script font. Was at my mother's house tonight to get some addresses and she saw the labels, and kinda freaked, lol.

I addressed all of my envelopes by hand, bc I was raised by a mother like yours, ha ha. However, the return address and response card envelopes were pre-printed.

I'll be handwriting the addresses on the envelopes. The reponse cards came preprinted so that saves a lil work.

I would suggest running the envelope right through the printer instead of clear labels if you can. it looks so much nicer.

Cut down a regular piece of paper to your envelop size and give it a trial run. Use a nice scipt like Edwardian and it will come out much better than the labels.

This is what I did with my Save-the-Dates. It took a few trial runs, but I thought it looked nice!

We are DIYing all the staionary and planning to put them through the printer. However, the envelopes we purchased are kinda glossy to it it smears for what ever reason on the 'trial' run, we are doing the clear labels as well.

As for the RSVP cards? are you talking about hand witing the oor the actual card? We're printing the card on the printer and following the same reasoning as above with the outside envelope.

We have a pocketfold invite, so those who are doing them yourself, did you use and inner and outer envelope as well. Ours are 6X6 and we have one envelope but if we wanted the two, what size do I use as the mailing envelope?
Thanks for the info
