i dont think there are rules...it can be parents, a friend or other family member, or you can throw it yourself....whatever works!

im not the expert on the subject, but i think it's typically the bridesmaids......my 2 older sisters and my bridesmaids are planning mine...i think any women in the family can pitch in.
