Eparty dilemma (kinda long...sorry)

Eparty dilemma (kinda long...sorry)

so i cant understand why things just arent going my way with this freakin eparty...as some of you know i had to cancel my original eparty and engagement due to FIL issues...now we are back engaged and i want to throw a much smaller eparty (60 ppl instead of 125) so i started looking this week for sometime in late august (bc i knew that i would have the most wiggle room with prices if i book very close to the date and i start student teaching in sept so i will be already crazy and wont be able to throw a eparty) so i found one place (its a very popular RH on here) and i abs love it and the price is phenom!!! howvere, FH goes well i want to discuss this with my parents (which is what cancelled the first one)---he thinks he can get $$ out of them bc my already very generous single parent/student mother already generously agreed to pay half (she was paying in full for the 1st eparty) we are paying for our wedding and he thinks his parents should cough up some $$ for the eparty, which they should...and plus my little sister (BM) will be in puerto rico on the day that the place has avail...her and my mom both say its no prob- and it prob isnt, but coupled with my FIL issues, i feel like i cant catch a break with wanting to celebrate our engagement.

so my question to all of you, after that long vent is

should i have the party w/o my little sister if i get the go ahead from fil's or should i not have an eparty at all

thanks for reading, sorry its so long

Can u get a date when your sister is home maybe the week before she leaves? Personaly i need my fam there. But if you're ok with it then do what you want. U need to be happy with everything!

It's totally your call. Would you feel bad if your Sister isn't there? I went to an E Party of a good friend and his brother who is the Best Man couldn't make it because he lives out of state. I mean, these things happen. I would discuss it with your Sister and make sure it's ok with her.

since it is so close to the date, i have to be at the mercy of the places..we also looked at another place and that offered a much less package for the same amount of money and i like the second place much better...im going to call around today

Danielle,
I feel your pain! We just wanted a dinner and now ours has turned into 75 people....But, my mother has been wonderful and has taken alot of the load off me... thank god

I say, to have it. You areonly engaged once. HOWEVER only do it if it is not going to cause stress and lean on your shoulders too much. If its going to become a problem, I say, take the bridal party out for a nice dinner and thats all. Something memorable and in 10 years with those who will still be around...

(I'm trying to learn from my own mistakes lol)

But, if you need anything let me know!
