Harder than booking the wedding has been finding a restaurant to host the engagement party. We're looking for somewhere on the South Shore, say between Lindenhurst and Blue Point that can hold 75 people. Many places are already booked due to showers, christenings, etc. Anyone have a good recommendations?

How about the Snapper Inn in Oakdale, or Irish Coffee Pub in Islip, Bellport CC, Captain Bills in Bayshore, Sunset Harbor in Patchogue, Molly Malones in Bayshore to name a few.

I know it may be a bit out east for you, but I had my engagement party at the Bellport Country Club. I highly recommend it. Everyone raved about the food.

I second the Irish Coffee Pub. There food is great and they have reasonable prices.

I've never been but I've heard good things about the Irish Coffee Pub. Im having my sons Confirmation party in the Knights of Columbus in Oceanside but I know that others are just as nice and do catering like this one. We are paying $30pp and it includes 5/5 Hot & Cold, flowers, linens, the cake, open bar and International Coffee bar at the end. I know there is one like it in Bellmore Im not sure about farther east though
