hey girls I was wondering when everyone is having their eparty? I want to have mine outside so I was thinking june but my mom was like ur having it this june isnt that to early the wedding is still a year and a few months away. Also I was wondering how many ppl your inviting. I am having around 150 at the wedding so I was thinking small and mostly friends about 50-70 ppl.

we're having ours in January and our wedding isn't until nov 2011. FH's brother is getting married this coming summer so we didn't want to do anything remotely close to that.
Funny - my grandmother was wondering why we were having our e-party so LATE since we got engaged in September! Everyone just wants to celebrate!!
ETA: We're inviting about 60 people, but it will probably be about 50 or so.

We had our E-Party/Graduation Party on July Fourth which was BEAUTIFUL!!! I did an orange/yellow theme for my party..Check out my album for pics. I would go with the summer time because its so much cooler!!LOL.

I already had mine last september when we 1st got engaged.
we had about 100 people outdoors under a tent.. pics are in 1 of my albums.

We are having ours March 13 and we are getting married January 8th. We just have not settled on the place yet We are looking to have about 50 to 60 people.

I think its better to have it far away from your wedding.... i think that people who have a long engagement are the ones who have e-parties.... to help them start saving for the wedding and to celebrate the engagement since its a big gap b/t the engagement and the wedding

ITA...I think its better to have it further rather than closer to your wedding bc you don't want ppl to have to give you 2 gifts in too close of a time period (i know they say that you shouldn't expect gifts for your e-party, but still)
We got engaged of June of 08 and had our e-party Nov 08
ETA I think this June sounds perfect!

we just had it 11-8-09 and the wedding is 10-30-11 we had it at the westbury manor and it was amazing! xo
eta: we invited 90ish (guest list for wedding is currently at 150) and 78 or so came...

yeah i got engaged Dec 13, 2008 and i had my e-party April 4, 2009.....so it was over 2 years before my wedding date.

I got engaged July 18th 2009 and we are having our engagement party December 18th 2009 (can't wait!) We are having it at The Victorian Room (Milk and Sugar's catering place) and doing a holiday-ish theme. We have about 190 for the wedding so far and invited 100 to the e-party but expect it to be about 80

I had mine in September 08 5 months after I got engaged, we had it at a country club,..it was beautiful and invited about 75 people.

I just had my eparty in Oct 2009 and my wedding is July 2011.
I agree with the other girls. More space between is better. IMHO.
