Sooo FH and I aren't planning on using our engagement photos for anything...we're just doing them to get used to the photog, etc. So I'd said last summer that if we get beautiful snow this winter, I would love to do them in the snow. Do we think this is all going to be here next week? FH is off of school the entire week, so it would be really easy to do them on a week day.......but where to go exactly?? HELP!!?!

I would think so - we are heading to Montauk this Sunday to do some w/ a friend.

Do you have time this weekend to go b/c the snow will def be around then.

Where exactly do you live?? Not sure if it's LI or the city - but i think any place near the water is so pretty after it snows, if there is a place like that where you live.

We're in Bethpage...photog is in Queens so anywhere 'not too far out east' is fair game. Saturday I'm dress shopping all day with my mom & sisters, so that's basically out....and Sunday's Valentine's....I don't know, I guess we could do it then though I don't know if the photog has a wedding that day. hmm.... Does anyone know if any of the parks get their paths cleared when it snows? Would love to be in a park, but not tromping thru two feet of snow!! lol

That is what I am hoping when we go to Montauk Sunday - that all the roads will be clear b/c we plan on going to the lighthouse.

Well Bethpage State Park i think, right on the Southern State is SOOOOOO pretty when it snows - did you guys think about doing it there??

I would think they would shovel some paths- but im not 100% sure.

OHH its really nice - i used to go bike riding there when i was a kid w/ my parents and went again a couple summers ago w/ a friend of mine... def give them a call and see what the situation is w/ shoveling...

ok we're all set for next Wednesday morning at 10 am. I really hope it's still snowy out!!!!!

next prob is figuring out what shoes to wear cause we don't really have boots........and to see how round I look in my winter puffy coat next to my stick-figure FH who has a fitted wool coat.

OHH YAY so excited you are booked - I am having the same issues w/ shoes and a coat!!

Not sure how much hiking we will end up doing since we will be out in Montauk LOL just kinda hoping for the best.

Yeah, the attire - though easier than non-coat season - is a little tricky. We're actually not using our pics for anything, so I'll just hope for the best haha

We are using a couple for the e-party - that's really it, and to help a friend build up her portfolio a little bit. We'll see what happens - if we can even get to the beach part where I want to take pics.
