Okay, so I FINALLY booked our epic shoot for this Wednesday (pray for no rain ! ! ) but now I have NO clue what to wear!! FH said he wants to wear a navy blue button down shirt and light kacki brown pants. Soooooo I was thinking about wearing Navy pants and a print shirt like THIS ONE With a sweater over it like THIS ONE
FH says he's just going to wear black shoes that he has, which I think will be fine, but should I wear black boots with navy pants? I don't really have dress stuff cause I go to work in jeans and sneakers! FH is 5'11' and I am 5'5' so if I wear my boots it will 'level the playing field' but will the black look dumb with the navy pants? Should I just ask the photographer to NOT take full length shots that you can see our shoes? Or is that a TOTALLY dumb request?
I am the WORST when it comes to making decisions like this, so I come you all you ladies for advice.

Wow, I love that shirt and sweater, very pretty.When I took my epics they just did head and shoulder shots.I have seen some other girls with full lengths i think if you don't like the shoes your photographer will do whatever you want. I don't think black and navy look bad but if there is some brown in the shirt maybe brown boots or shoes??? HTH.Good Luck and posts pics

LOve it! I think you can wear black boots with it, I do see where you are questioning it but the brown isnt tooo obvious so it should be ok. If you start taking pics and arent comfortable just have the photographer take pics above your feet

Love the shirt and sweater. Honestly I think the black boots will be fine...it won't stand out in the pics. He'll also do a bunch full length and half so you'll have choices if you don't like the booths

thanks for all the advice! I went shopping tonight with my mom and went in a TOTALLY different direction The top I showed wasn't what I thought it was, although it was nice, it has more red and orange in it then I thought. I didn't like the navy pants. they were to 'old' looking for me! Although the pants I chose are 'old' looking too. They are a darker khaki color. the top I got is the light khaki that FH's pants are and is has faint darker lines on it.
I also had to buy my DD something too cause I want a 'family' shot. Ugh. Trying to find something for her is IMPOSSIBLE. We settled on a denim skirt, light khaki shirt and Old Navy fuzzy brown boots. It'll be her Thanksgiving outfit too.
The best part of the night was saving $26.00 cause I had a bag to 'stuff' everything in for 20% off ! !
I'll post pics when I get them! I hope they come out good! ! ! The weather is supposed to be 62 with some clouds and a 20% chance of scattered showers. I hope the storm we're supposed to get Thursday doesn't decide it wants to speed up ! !
