I need some help on where to find an Episcopal Church, my fiance and I are both Catholic however I cannot get married in a Catholic church b/c I was married once already. I know that my FH wants to get married in chuch though. I did check into an annullment but it is a LOT of work to go through. I heard that Episcopal is almost the same thing as Catholic, Am I right?

Re: Episcopal Churches
They are fairly close, but there are definite liturgical differences. Where do you live? I seriously doubt you can just 'rent' any Episcopal church, you would most likely need to become a parishoner. The nice thing is there is no conversion! Episcopalians are quite liberal that way. And I'm sure the priest would want you to go through pre-marriage counseling, just as with a Catholic church. There are many Episcopal churches on Long Island, I'm sure you could find one in the yellow pages.

Re: Episcopal Churches
My FH and I are getting married at an Episcopal church too. His parents, many years ago, went thru the same thing you are going thru now...they ended up getting married in an Episcopal Church. Check out Saint MArk's Episcopal Church in Islip, NY. They've been wonderful through the process so far. BTW-- we are not parishioners of this church and they had no problem with us getting married there.
