Can anyone suggest simple music for an engagement party. Can we rent speakers and hook them up to a laptop, what about an i-pod docking station. Would that be enough for a room of 100 poeple. It's only a three hour party with no dancing.

I would check with the venue, or restaurant your having the party. Sometimes they'll have a speaker system where you can play a CD or ipod even, and may not have to rent anything.
