Errrggg!!! NEED HELP with monogram

I am following the directions that have been posted on LIW 100 times...and I cant get them to overlap correctly.

Here are the directions I have:

In Word:
Chose insert ---textbox
Type in and format the way you like
Do three times
Now click on all textboxes and choose format---textbox---choose color :no fill (so you can overlap the letters) and Line :No Line. Select all letter , right click, and choose Group to lock in the arrangement. You can now copy your image into Microsoft Paint and save in several formats.

Anyone know another way to do this???

Do three times
Now click on each textbox and
choose format---textbox---
choose color :no fill and Line :No Line.
Do to all three text boxes
Select all letters by holding down shift and clicking on each one , right click, and choose Group(ing) to lock in the arrangement. You can now copy your image into Microsoft Paint and save in several formats.
