ERRRR Carpenter Ants!!!

Black ants - I call them picnic ants LOL..
there is the kitchen and upstairs bathroom and
they're gross!!!!!!!

We're having an exterminator come over today - I hope he gets rid of them!

Has anyone been fighting this battle too?
Did you hire someone - did they go away?
What do they do to get rid of them ?

Unfortunately I dealt with this about 2 months ago. However, since it was considered off season for carpenter ants we knew it was a nest within our walls!! In order to kill these things we had an exterminator come and put out a chemical on our window sills near the problem area and the ants then came out of the nest to the chemical area and then brought it back to the nest, killing the queen. The chemical lures the ants in and then kills them. The only gross part is that you cannot really kill them as they come out because then they won't bring back the chemicals to the nest, which is the point. So you will see a lot of ants, dead and alive.

I am sure even though it's warmer this will still be the same approach used in your case.
