Escort cards?

Escort cards?

So I have the escort cards provided by the venue and was planning on using a calligraphy pen to write each persons name and table number. After doing my thank you notes for my bridal shower, I am rethinking this idea, lol. I was thinking about printing clear labels and placing them on the escort cards. Has anyone done this? Do you think its weird? Also, do the names go on the front of the card and the table number on the inside?? Thank you.

I was thinking of doing the same thing, so waiting for responses on this....

At a few weddings I've been to the name and table number are on the same side. Table number is below the name. But I'm not sure what you're cards look like.

This! Just did mine and the table numbers are below the names. That's how it came though.

The ones provided are blank on the front and on the inside says 'you are seated at table ____' so I was thinking putting the names (label) on the front and then just writing the number on the inside?

I decided to hand write mine. Because I'm insane. I, personally, wouldn't do labels. It's super easy and affordable to buy the blank cards at Michaels and print them yourself.

I bought ones from Michaels and they came with instructions. I'm putting everything on the front of the card.

This is my plan. They're so cheap, especially with coupons and then you can print them with your computer instead of hand writing them, and it looks a lot nicer than the labels. But as I'm writing this I'm thinking 'Who the f$%# cares?! People look at them for 10 seconds and shove them in their pockets and forget about them!' Do whatever's easiest for you lol

This. I ordered purple business card paper. Will print on them and place in coral holders.

Update...so I decided the least stressful thing is to use the escort cards given to me by the venue with clear labels. Bought a pack at staples today and did a test, it came out really awesome!! :) Onto the next thing!

I went to michaels to buy my place cards and when I was on line to purchase a lady in front of me stated they were hard to do ..so I went to staples instead and bought them there..they have room for 2 lines..the first line is the name and the second line is the table number..have not printed them out yet so I don't know if printing them is easy or hard

If I picked up my card as a guest at a wedding and it had a label on it I would think ...TACKY! Gives an impression that youn didnt want to be bothered. Over the years at all the affairs Ive been to the number has always been on the front. I dont think the inside is actually an inside. I think its just there because its a fold to stand the card up.
