That is what I thought. Last night my cousin brought over this whole bag of things that belonged to my grandfather and that was their parish -- my grandmother's forever and then my grandfather's when he moved from Italy. I have a lot of family in Asortia but never thought of their church but I was reading my Aunts Baptimal papers and prayer cards of my grandmothers and they were all from that church.

It took me a few minutes and then it clicked that I had recently seen it on here.

yeah that is DH's church, he also got baptised there and did everything he had to there, was even an altar boy. I liked that he had history with that church. His mom also taught ccd for that church and is in the choir.

must've been nice to have all these things that belonged to your grandfather.

Apparently from what I could see my grandmother did a lot with thechurch too. I think my dad may have been batized there too but I am not 100% on that.

It was nice to see all this stuff but most of the letters he had were written in Italian so we could only make out parts of them. I want to take them to my uncle to see if he can translate them for me.
