Hi girls.. Can you tell me what is a good price for a platinum eternity band? I am looking for a super thin band of diamonds... my jeweler quoted us a price around $2000 for platinum. Is this good?

I think that's really good. I was quoted more than that for white gold, but they were larger diamonds

Depending on the karat weight not bad. I looked at a wg band 2 1/2 k $4,000.

somewhere between .35-.5 it's a really really thin band.

let me check with my jewler. I think that if it's .5 Ct that it may be pricy but you are paying for Platinum (which is actually a softer metal). It then depends on the quality of the stone.
That's a .5 carat eternity ring in platinum for $1100

Mine is almost 3.4 ct and it was 4,000 but it is white gold. You should consider why are you getting platinum. Most eternity bands are made with white gold since you really don't see any of the metal it is a shame to spend the money on it.

I agree re: platinum vs. white gold for an eternity band. I think you should look into white gold. I have a fairly thin one and I think it was $1400 for diamonds all the way around. You won't see the metal if it's an eternity band, right?

yes. an eternity band has the diamonds all the way around. You may be able to get a better quote on the ring from what i heard. Bluenile is a great site and it's trusted... i would look there

I'm having an eternity band custom made to fit my e-ring. The diamonds don't go all the way around. (They still call it an eternity ring.) It's being made by Elsa for about $1k.

my ering is platinum my ering is white gold. I think if you go to a reputable jeweler they will guide you in that direction. Mine was custom made for me. I went to Elsa's first but found them too pricey, go to a jeweler you know..they are not hard to make and make sure the diamonds are the same color and clarity as your ering.
I used a great jeweler in Plainview if you're interested FM..not too far from Elsa's

that sounds high. I got quoted less than that for almost a carat in platinum of stones...platinum shouldnt be anymore than $400-$500 higher than the price of the gold band.

My eternity wedding band is made with 2.75 carats of diamonds (given to us as a gift) being custom made for us and we got a quote or 1400-1500.00 white gold.
