eternity wedding band or one with diamonds partway around??
I am deciding between an eternity wedding band and one with diamonds part-way around. I know the main pro of the eternity band is that it won't turn. The cons seem to be that it cannot be resized and also whether it is comfortable.
Has anyone found an eternity band with diamonds uncomfortable? if so, do you get used to it?

It's totally a personal preference.
The diamonds on my e-ring go about halfway around so I will be getting a w-band to match that. I don't feel like I need diamonds on the inside of my hand. Plus, I like the idea that it can be resized later in life. I plan on wearing these babies forever!

Hey...dh had my e-ring and wedding band custom made to go half way around because i bang my hands and i was worried that if one came out it, they would all come out (Channel set). I love it. I didnt need the diamonds to go under being you cant see them anyway and my rings don't turn. Just keep in mind, channel set rings you can't really resize (quarter size or half size at most) HTH

I have an eterniity band on my e-ring and I plan to get my wedding band the same to match it and its NOT uncomfortable at all! Yes it does have to be made very true to size but I had my e-ring re-sized because there is a small party where the ring meets that isnt a diamond. I resized my ring to make it half a size smaller.
If it matches your e-ring then go for it if not then do half way, but it should def match. =))

The diamonds on my wedding band only go half way around. You can't even tell! I didn't want an eternity band b/c i'm constantly banging my hands on everything

Just FYI... I think most ladies that have a problem with rings turning it's because their knuckles are much bigger than their actual finger where the ring sits. If you don't have larger knuckles than you likely won't have turning problems bc it won't be too big for your finger. This was a tip I heard from a jeweler and it totally makes sense. I am deciding the same eternity v. half-way question right now too!!!

I got an eternity band that goes 3/4th of the way around so that it can be resized and when my hand bangs the table I don't have to worry about the diamonds shaking loose.

Both are beautiful... have you though about how the two rings would look with you e-ring?? Maybe that will help you decide

I am having my wedding band made with the diamonds 3/4 of the way around the band-I was afraid that I would damage the stones on the back of the band.

i wanted an eternity wedding band, but with much considerations -- i got the 3/4 one instead. i was afraid i'll damage the ring if and when i do bang my hand on the table or something ;T

My band is an eternity band, I think its comfortable. Plus I love that even if it turns on your hand you're looking at diamonds every angle.

I have eternity as well for both engagement ring and wedding band. Its very comfortable, it never bothered me.

I got one that stops a bit on the bottom so I can have it resized. My jeweler recommended this BUT....if you do get an eternity band...my friend did this and its a great idea..get it a bit larger than your normal size and then but those sizer balls in it...that way...if you ever gain wait/have a baby...(everyones hands change over time) you can remove the balls and it will still fit....Once you outgrow it it cant be resized so this seems to be a great idea!

I wanted a 3/4 band for resizing purposes, but the one i found and fell in love with was an eternity band so thats what i got. Its a bit bigger than my actual ring size in case my fingers get a little bigger over time, and my jeweler told me that it can be resized 1/4 - 1/2 size.
Ladies that are concerned about banging the bottom of your finger around with an eternity band - a 3/4 ring is not going to be much better. There is really only a very small amount of space on 3/4 bands that are diamondless (at least all the ones i looked at) so if this is a concern for you, i would go with diamonds only halfway around. 3/4 bands are great for those who basically want an eternity band but want to be able to resize it.

I have an eternity band on my engagement ring and its super comfortable... If the ring is well-made the diamonds should not fall out. FH and I are getting matching eternity wedding bands to match my e-ring...

It is a personal choice.
I have an eternity band and Ilove it. I don't find it uncomfortable at all.
If it is made properly you should not have to worry about the diamonds falling out or coming loose.

My ering is half eternity and you can definitely tell it doesnt go all the way around, but that's ok. However, for the wedding band I wanted full eternity. I love the look and a few people I know who have half or 3/4 are longing for the full. I know not everyone so I don't mean to offend those who have that, but this is just my personal experience.
