Etiquette on check from a no rsvp

What is the etiquette on cashing a check sent with a no RSVP to the wedding? Do you wait until after the wedding to cash it or cash it now?

I don't know for sure but I would say cash it now if you want. Sometimes people don't like when you take forever to cash a check when they're trying to keep track of their finances.

Hmmm tough call...

My guy reaction would be that it's tacky to cash it in before the wedding, but the bride above me made a very good point.

People like to have all their ducks in a row when it comes to their finances, so it may actually be that they're expecting you to cash it sooner than your wedding day.

I don't really know the etiquette, but We cashed them right away and we'll send them a thank you along with the others.

I personally hate when I give someone a check and they day forever to cash it.

I cashed the one we got right away and then mailed out a quick thank you the day after we got it. I plan to send them the mice wedding thank you as well. HTH!

I can be wrong here but isn't there up to a certain amount of days that you can cash a check....30 days maybe??? on whenever the check is dated.

However I would def cash it when I receive it....I hate it when ppl take forever to do so.

It's 6 months'! I just cashed a check from December. That being said I would cash it right away. And send a quick thank you now.

ITA - this is what i plan on doing. unless they dated it with your wedding date or something, cash/deposit it right away because people want to keep track of their finances.

Personally, when i don't attend a wedding, I buy something off of the registry, so I don't know what people have done in the past since I don't send checks to weddings i dont go to
