Etiquette question - BP gifts

Etiquette question - BP gifts

A good friend of my Aunt's told me she wants to make my jewelry for my wedding. Since I am allergic to silver and can't wear her stuff she offered to make jewelry for my bridal party as my wedding gift (she is invited to the wedding).

Is it cheesy if I don't get them anything else? FH thinks that since the jewelry is a gift (i.e. has monetary value) I am not obligated to get them anything else. I'm thinking of possibly just buying a pretty trinket box or small satin or silk bag to put the jewelry in, but not sure.....

What do you think, ladies?

I think the trinket box / jewelry bag would be a nice addition. I don't think you need to give much, but adding a little something that isn't 'required attire for the day' is always nice. I always like jewelry bag/tote bag embroidered with their name (which can be done really cheaply) and of course the mushy note saying how much you love / appreciate them. They are definitely not doing it for the gift so don't stress too much about it.

A trinket box or tote is a really nice idea, theres a site called exclusivelyweddings.com that has cheap totes that can be personalized they even have little jeweled compact mirrors that can be a good gift for the BP also. the Jeweled mirrors are about 17 dollars and if you consider the little trinket box they have a really nice one in shape of a heart with pink jewels for about 20 dollars. its a great site. You should check it out.
