Etsy invites, etc

So in the interest of saving money, I'm considering going through an Etsy designer for my invites and other printed materials, the suites where they do the graphic design work and send you the files to print yourself.

Has anyone done this, and did it work well? I figure I'd print everything at Kinko's, since my home printer may not be up to the task. Also, did you order coordinating material (programs, menus and whatnot) at the same time, or later on?

I'm going to do this, but not through etsy, through printablepress.com. I think it makes more sense because then you just pay for the suite. For the invitation, rsvp card, and thank yous for everyone it will only cost about $150, and then we'll upload to vistaprint and use their crazy sales.

It was partly money for us, but also printable press has an amazing set of designs that are perfect for us.

I just posted this Vendor in another thread but she did all my friends weddings and was a 2011 Bride Herself. Strongly recommend her plus if you order more then one thing she might work on prices HTH!

I just receive sample invites from a Etsy vendor and I LOVE It. most likly I will order thru this vendor and it falls within my budget and it is just what I wanted.

I used etsy for our engagement party invites. It was $15 for the file. Then I printed them at Walgreens, $5 for every 50 prints. It was AWESOME!

when you printed them at walgreens, do they come out shiny like photos or matte?

Actually, I was just about to alter this! I ended up spending a little more and used CVS (I paid $25 instead of $15) because I am running slightly behind on getting the invites out.

If you want matte pictures from Walgreens, you have to order online and select the option to have them sent to your house instead of picking up in store. I found this out after placing an online order for matte store pick up and it changed it to glossy without telling me so I cancelled the order. If I didn't need the prints tonight, I would totally pick the ship to home option. Also, this happened in a NJ Walgreens. I would just call the Walgreens you plan to use before ordering just to be sure.

Either store, CVS or Walgreens, this is AWESOME!!! :)

Thanks! If FH doesn't like my current choice of invite, then I will do printable press invites and have them printed at cvs or walgreens...I never knew they did matte printing and that would be perfect!

Hopefully FH does like the ones I found though...it seems like as soon as I pick something I love, something goes wrong
