Etsy VENT!

I recently purchased a pair of earrings through etsy. They looked beautiful in the photograph, but once I received them, they were really cheap looking. Therefore I left a neutral feedback. Not good, not bad. The seller then contacted me to harrass me about what was wrong. I very nicely explained that I was very happy with her shipping services but that I was a little dissapointed in the quality of the earrings. Instead of being a professional, the VERY RUDE vendor then said she was giving me a written warning to not shop her store again and that any further contact from me was going to be forwarded to abuse. She then gave me negative feedback. I know this isn't that big of a deal, but I AM FUMING. Do I not have every right to leave honest feedback for the item I purchased? It is not like I was rude or gave her negative feedback. UGH.

I have had nothing but great experiences with Etsy prior to this, but this entire situation has certainly turned me off using the site again!

I think you should contact etsy and fwd them her 'written warning'. Im sure they dont want to be associated with psychos like that.

Oh that is just terrible!

sheesh some people obviously cant take any sort of criticism. also she sounds like shes trying to knock you down before you knock her down. sounds like shes scared of something happening.

I had a similair experience but not with esty... with a vendor. ugh... its amazing how some companies do business.

Can you FM the name of the seller also. I'm looking for my stuff on etsy also, and I don't want to buy from her. She was very rude and it wasn't called for. You were helping her out by buying from her and she was ungrateful.

I agree. Anyone who threatens / criticizes customers doesn't deserve to be on there. Same goes with Ebay.

I'm sorry that you had to go through that, it was totally uncalled for. Please let me know who you dealt with so that I do not use them in the future (if I haven't already), since I do use Etsy quite frequently now.
