Even MORE Excited Now (YES WEDDING RELATED)

Fh and I went to the mall today to get my ring cleaned and inspected and to get a necklace he gave me cleaned and inspected too.

There was a ring there that FH liked but didn't want to try on or anything. Well, he's been kind of a pain in the azz with the wedding ring thing b/c he's not into jewelry and just couldn't get excited about it. So I kept asking him if he was sure he didn't want to try it on. Then i told him i wanted to see it b/c it looked cool.

Well as soon as the guy took it out, FH said 'oooo' He asked how much. The guy told us how much... I said 'if you want it, it's yours' He said 'I'll take that ring'
and there ya go...

Long story short....
We got FH's wedding band today! (well we ordered it, it will be here in 2 weeks)

it all seems so real now that all the little things are coming together.



OH!! and another thing...
FMIL came to our apartment tonight. It is the first time she has been in the building in over 8 years. This is such a big deal bc FMIL never used to leave the house at all, literally AT ALL. so now that we've moved out and she can't rely on us for every little thing she's been getting her life back. This building had a lot of sentimental value to her and she was also super angry and in denial about us moving out and said she'd never ever ever come up here. So the fact that she did, and that she liked how we remodeled was great.
It's been a super good day.

It doesnt look like a wedding band to me, but whatever, he loves it and I think it's really neat so that's all that matters.

Congrats!! My FH can be a choosy PITA too sometimes, so I understand that this is a real breakthrough, lol!

yea lol he's a huge PITA when it comes to things like this.

on a funny side note... my brother calls me Pita. It's his pet name for me. When i was younger I thought it was b/c he loved me lots b/c gyros are his fave food and they are made with Pitas. but when i got older someone pointed out that it meant Pain In The Azz and i was super embarassed. lol
he still calls me that

I'll look and see if i can find a pic online. FH's ring won't be in for two weeks.
I'm pretty sure pictures won't do it justice though... it's hard to explain but it's got like a holographic center...sort of lol

My band is diamonds. FH's isnt. He doesn't wear jewelry so it would have been silly of me to insist he wear a diamond band you know?

They don't match. At all... and that's okay as long as ladies recognize it as a wedding ring that's all that matters

I totally agree with you. As long as he loves it (and wears it on that finger) and/or has meaning for him it's perfect. A while back my FH started wearing a ring he had on his wedding ring finger (long story) and then he lost it. I knew it was important to him and bought him something similar last Christmas (I know it was the look he wanted for his real wedding ring). He loved it, but never wore it. I just brought up the fact that we should get his wedding ring soon and he told me that the one I got him is what he wanted for his ring. It's gold with a few cubic zirconia in it, and it's certainly not 'wedding ring' expensive or anything, but he doesn't care. It means something to him and that's all that matters.

PS - I don't know if I posted, but your engagement pictures are beautiful!! (Love our TP!) I love the color you wore (wish I wore something better in mine)
