Ok so FMIL and I were having a cup of tea and yacking it up last night and she said that I am going to need an evening gown(maybe 2) for the cruise. So you know there is a choice to be made.

I voted for #3 but I like #1 as well. I have been on 2 cruises and there are 2 nights that are 'formal' nights.

but 5 and 6 are REALLY hot, too! (though you might not make it out of your room for dinner in either of those ...

I love #1!!! Even though they are formal nights, not everyone dresses formal. THere are a lot of people from other parts of the country, so everyone isn't as formal as New Yorkers are

I just took Celebrity Cruises trip to Bermuda this past August, where FH proposed during a formal night. While the above dresses are lovely, they are a bit over the top. If you feel like going all out, I love number 1. But really a 'little black dress' will do.

I picked #1. I agree with everyone else about being too formal.
How about a strapless tea length dress? After Six and Dessy lines have a lot of them. I got a few quotes from Pearl's Place for less than $125

ALL THE DRESSES ARE BEAUTIFUL... HOWEVER SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! PEOPLE WEAR A VARIETY OF THINGS ON CRUISE SHIPS, BLACK COCKTAIL DRESS, OLD BRIDESMAID DRESSES...... IF YOU WANT, PICK ONE AND THEN BRING THE BACK DRESS FOR THE SECOND NIGHT.
MY SUGGESTION IS TO ALSO CHECK WITH THE CRUISE COMPANY TO SEE IF THEY REALLY HAVE A FORMAL NIGHT. mANY OF THE LINES ARE CHANGING THEIR POLICIES AND IF IT S A FREE-STYLE CRUISE ON NCL, I DON;T EVEN THINK THEY HAVE IT ANY MORE.

If you are comfortable in #5, where it on the cruise. Heck wear it everywhere. Its is great-and if you have the confidence for it, go for it.
Don't worry abotu beigntoo dressesed up. ( unless you are tryign to save $ on the clothes budget)
if you liek to dres, up why not? You're on your honeymoon- go a little crazy. You'll never see anyoen ther again, so who cares waght they think. at most they think wow, I wish I could pull off that dress!
my FFIL has worn a tux on cruises, so I'm sure there will be all diffent types.
(keep in mind this is from a girl who only wear's sneakers when my feet hurt & hates to wear jeans at night, unless I can't decide what to wear!)
