Ever dream 'the future'?

Ever dream 'the future'?

I posted on 'Parenting' a little while ago that I had a strange dream last night - it was just a little kid/baby stuffing his face w/ cheese doodles and singing dooooodle, dooooodle, in a sing-songy voice.

I woke up, and it brought Doooodles (the person) to my mind. I went to work, and planned on asking about Doooodles today when I got home. Turns out she had her baby!!!

OK, Another one:
2 years ago, I was asleep in my dorm room. I had a dream that it started raining BASEBALLS (so so strange.) - I got up and looked at the clock, looked outside (wasn't raining), and went back to sleep. Dreamt the same thing, AGAIN!!! It was about 4am at this point, so I decided to get up, wash my face, hit the potty, etc...... now for the creepy part...... when I returned to my room, my window was shattered, and there was a BASEBALL ON MY BED, where my head was just minutes earlier!!!
I looked outside again, and here were some crazy drunks having a catch in the quad --- their first throw WENT THROUGH MY WINDOW. If I hadn't gotten up, I really could've been hurt!

My great-grandmother once dreamed that her son was bleeding - 3 minutes later, she rec'd a call that he was in a car accident.

This stuff freaks me out. Anyone else have any stories?

I hear you. It does happen to people, my mother also has dreamed about stuff and then the day after something happens.
Example: My mother dreamed about a plane crash, the day after we found out that my first boyfriend had been in a plane crash and had passed away.

Re: Ever dream 'the future'?

When I was away at college, I had a dream that my grandmother had died on her birthday. The next day (which was the day before her birthday) my brother called to say that she was dying. No one had told me that she was deteriorating so quickly and I didn't know she was in such bad shape.

My grandmother didn't die that day but she did pass away three weeks later. At least I got to see her when I was home at Thanksgiving.

When I was about 15 I dreamt a friend of my mothers was weeping and sobbing...she was so sad in the dream. I woke up really shaken.

I told my mom the next day. Several Hours later, we got a call that she had had a miscarriage the night before and was torn apart over it.

It was freaky!

Re: Ever dream 'the future'?

Sadly, I had dreams before my brother died that he was going to die and as weird as it may sound, I think my dreams sort of prepared me for when he actually did die. I know that sounds crazy, but the day the cops came to tell us my brother died, the female cop kept asking me if I was ok and I said yes, I am fine,I told her for some reason I knew this was going to happen.

wow boop. i think they were meant to help you too. thats amazing.

i have had premonitions too. not in dreams, they are usually thoughts and they come true. its such a powerful feeling when you realized you knew it was going to happen. this has also taught me to always trust your intuition.
