ever feel a lil emotional

so im never someone that cries for no reason or makes a big fight out of stupidity....but as i think of all the changes that im going to face after the wedding i get sad/emotional ...not living at home with my parents anyone (im verrrrrrry close to them).....not having my last name....being alone a lot when i come home from work bc my fh is a firefighter and does 24hr shifts.....going from a house to an apt (not a lot of 'alone time' space which i love/need) i just think of how much i have to learn and change when the wedding is over and i just get myself sad....anyone else feel this way?

I totally agree & feel the same way. My mom & I are extremely close and to not be able to come home and sit on her bed and chat is killing me. I try not to think about it, because I just think about living with my FH which I cannot wait to do and then one day going over my parents house with their grandchildren....
This is all very exciting me for but at the same time it is very emotional!!!! But you know you have your LIW ladies to get you though it all.

Yeah, sometimes I do think about the changes and get a little scared, that's totally normal. But in this situation you really have to think of the positives. You are going to be able to see your husband every night (maybe when he has 24 hour shifts, you could spend more time with your parents and friends). It's scary but it is also exciting and I'm sure you are going to establish a whole new familiar routine, don't worry!

Moving out for the first time is tough, it's scary because it's something new. I moved out 7 1/2 years ago and it was tough, I had been home 2 years after college.

I live with FH now. After having a roommate for 7 years, it was an easy transition.

You will definitely have your alone time if your FH is in the fire department!

Definatly feel the same. I have a really close relationship with my mom. It will be exciting and wonderful waking up to the man I love each morning though. It will an adjustment that will be well worth it.

I definately know how you feel when it comes to all the changes you face after the wedding. I'm very close with both of my parents, not to mention that I'm an only child. I enjoy my time with them and my usual routine. Like in the morning when I wake up for work, I'll sit and watch the news with my mom and talk. Then at night when she's on the phone with her friends, I sit and watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune with dad. Its the little things that I'll miss. I'll even miss hearing my dad say that its my turn to dish out the ice cream for everyone, but I know when I come over and see them, he'll tell me its my turn

As for the name change, yeah its definately will be an adjustment. I'm even considering hypenating my name, but my name is too long to begin with.
