Ever have a vendor call you and ask...

if you have your dj/photog/florist/etc booked and whn you say you do, they go ahead and ask who you booked with and why???

I had a DJ company do this to me just yesterday and stupid me answered them without even thinkin and should have said 'its not your business' instead.. Technically, I dont have the DJ booked just yet but said I do anyways cuz I know who I'm using

I'd like to know what they do with the info

this happened to me a few times. The WCC called a number of times and kept asking, finally i told them i went with someone else and she asked who, so I told her. She said, 'wow, really, do you mind telling me why?'

I couldn't believe she had the nerve to ask. So I told her, 'the were cheaper than you, offered more for our money than you and were willing to throw in extras unlike you.' She said, 'oh, ok' and hung up.

The audacity of people.

i had that once when i was going out the door to see my dj and it was a dj from a showcase that i was at like a mth ago. i hate that

ive had some vendors ask me who else i was going to see etc. i think they basically want to see who they are up against and why they are or arent being chosen.

I really find it rude that this happens. I dont use my cell phone when calling anyone or signing up for anythingany more... I just put my fax!!

I think its a lil distasteful... I dunno... At least I kow that Im not the only one who actaully answered their questions... I felt like an idiot after!

Yes I have had that happen with DJ's. A few asked me with who and I said I dont think its your business.

I have had tons of vendor calls lately!

They call me like crazy... They dont stop... They ask me who i booked with too

THEY DO THAT TO SEE WHAT THEIR COMPETITOR HAS TO OFFER THAT THEY DONT OR THEY WANT TO GIVE PEOPLE A BETTER DEAL THAN WHAT YOU GOT..!

A lot of vendors ask me. The worst response i got was from Jovan. I actually cancelled my appointment with them because I booked photo and video already. The woman asked why and I said because I already booked. She said 'Well that's ashame' Atleast I called them in advance!!!!

I actually had this happen with most of the vendors (photo/RH). I tell them the truth and thats it.

I usually just send the calls to voicemail... but they dont ever stop callin so now ive been pickin up n tellin em im booked even if im not lol

I had that happen to me with a photog ( I won't say who because my post will get deleted) He kept calling and calling leaving me msgs like 'I got your msg and I'm just calling you back' Um yeah I never called. Then the fifth time he called he blocked the # so I would pick up. He said he had a msg that I called and I said it wasn't me 'oh really thats weird, well did you book a photographer?' Yeah that solidified that I made the right decision going elsewhere!!
