Re: Everyday Dishes
Thank you girls. I think LisaT suggested these to me a while ago when I asked about everyday dishes. I had a very hard time picking them out. I should have registered for them but I didn't know what kind of decor I was going to have before I got the house. So now i have the house, and I had to buy them. Oh well, they were not that expensive. I knew I wanted Pfaltzgraff for the assurance of quality. Anyway, I had the problem with the black and white kitchen but we are going to do the floors over and take out some of the black out and I will put some color in. So I wanted to get something without too much color becuase I am indecisive on color and then I was going to go to the grape design or a floral pattern, but then I said I will be stuck with a theme if I do that. So I decide on simple, basic beige. and I will start incorporating more beige and maybe a little color into the kitchen, Maybe I will even reface my cabinets. Hmmm. Ok, I am done. :)

Re: Everyday Dishes
Denise...those are our everyday dishes!! We're very happy with them.
We were looking for heavy duty, durable dishes, and these definitely are. I've had Pzaltzgraff settings before and you're right, the quality is there.
We also wanted bowls that were BOWLS...deep, not flat...good for big servings of ice cream.
Around the time of my shower, there was a special at Fortunoffs-buy four settings, get one free.

Re: Everyday Dishes
Oh that is great. Well I just spent about $200 for 8 servings (24.99 each) but that is not bad at all. I saw every day dishes for $60 a place setting. My formal china didn't even cost that much. I really didn't want to spend that much on dishes that I knew I will chip sooner or later! :)
