Everyon who is unployed or looking for a position please read

I think we should start something like The First Wives Club, because so many companies treat people like trash. I want to start a company where respect for every worker is top. I am tired of being treated like $hit by companies.

Then I was doing temp work and I got so annoyed at the BS of we like you we want you to stay then the minute the other person came back it was hey great having you around you are out of here in 2 weeks.

now I go on interviews and I get treated horribly. No one has respect for anyone.

michandgerard- you have FM!

I've always wanted to be my own boss (well who doesn't) but i don't deal with authority well. I know what my job is and i do it, i hate being told what to do. I'm more productive when left alone! my ex boss used to stand over my shoulder a lot. I told him that I refuse to work that way... haha

Anyone a good cook...How about 'Bridal Breakfast'. You bring to the bride's house coffee, juice, bagels, muffins...whatever they want. Set up breakfast for them, serve and clean up so that's one less thing they have to worry about on their wedding day...feeding a house full of bridemaids, photographers, make-up people.....

kid-
That is a GREAT idea...you should seriously look into that!

(I'm a good cook by the way)!

wow that is a fantastic idea. I think so many brides would love something like that.

I know my mom wants to do it and even though the wedding is over a year away she started to give my dad a to-do list the day of the wedding and breakfast is on the list.

I think having a bridal breakfast would be wonderful. It is definatly one less thing for the bride to worry about

I would love to do something like this!

I have been struggling with feeling like 'what am I doing with my life' for a few years now. I currently work for a huge company and I am very unhappy. What started out as 'just a job' has turned into a 4 year committment. I have a lot of creativity (I was a Visual Arts & Photography major in college), I like to write (and am pretty good at it if I may say so myself!) and I cook ALL the time. I wanted very much to go to culinary school (for Pastry) but since I am getting married, my hours as a chef would directly conflict with my FH's. I was afraid we'd hardly ever see each other. So, I'm in a quandary... I want to still have time to spend with my family, but I CAN'T STAND this 'Monday through Friday, 9-5, sit at the same desk and do the same boring job all day long' type of career. It's draining the life out of me!

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to do something fun and creative, using my talents for writing, art, photography, and baking (if it's possible to use all those skills at once!)

COUNT ME IN!

If anyone needs anymore personal information from me, just send me FM!

I definatly think Kid's idea can pick up and go. We could definatly apply all of our skills to it. I was an english major and communications minor in college and I too love to write.

wow when we put our heads together so many wonderful ideas come out.

Lunatrek you should follow your dream. I just got the BOCES book for winter and spring semester and they now have alot of different culinary classes you can take. They are at night, but not every night. Maybe you can do that?

I really like Kid's idea too. It would work. This would give the parents the day off too. We should look into it.
