Everyone was a winner at Garden City Hotel w/pic

FH AND I WENT TO THE GARDEN CITY HOTEL TONIGHT BECAUSE WE WERE 1 OF 100 FINALIST IN THE 'GARDEN CITY HOTEL MARRY LONG ISLAND SWEEPSTAKES'

IT WAS FUN, THEY HAD DINNER AND OPEN BAR, DOOR PRIZES AND THE GRAND PRIZE $50000 WEDDING RECEPTION AT THE HOTEL AND $10000 GIFT REGISTRY FROM FORTUNOFF.

NO WE DIDNT WIN A DOOR PRIZE OR THE GRAND PRIZES BUT WE EAT UNTIL WE WERE FULL, HAD A FEW DRINKS, DESSERT, TOOK PICTURES, FORTUNOFF GIFT CARD AND A $20 GIFT CARD TO THE GARDEN CITY HOTEL (AND THE ROOMS COST $$$$$$$$ SO THAT WILL GET US 'RAGS' AS MY FH SAYS

WAS ANYONE ELSE THERE?
GET THIS THE WINNERS WERENT EVEN ENGAGED AND AFTER WINNING THAT....THE GUY DIDNT EVEN PROPOSE ON THE SPOT WHAT'S UP WITH THAT????

I was there tonight, I was not in the contest, but I was with HelenZ and she was one of the finalist food was good and the room was pretty not a fan of the carpet though

YEAH THE FOOD WAS GOOD WASNT IT AND YOUR RIGHT THE CARPET WAS TERRIBLE.

LOL OMG we thought the vallet guy was nuts too!!! not to mention the guy at the front door, lol we were trying to get info about reserving a suite for each of our wedding nights and it was not an easy task, but we did find out that they are booked untill 2008 oh well...

We were there too. How the F were they not engaged????? I was a bit aggrevated by that too=I'm a good sport and all but geez!!!!

They should have been disqualified on the spot...hey they are going to hear about that...I am not a sore looser but D@%. She was all and he was all and seemed as though he was saying to himself...'what the crap have I done'

That's okay who really wants to eat a $200+ plate pp anyway?

He did have that look. They knew which key opened the darn door anyway!!!!!

I know what you're saying-at least the drinks were nice and strong

I had 3 COSMO's and 1 glass of ZIF and 1 of those Marry whatever ICE TEAS..

I was there too!!!! yay!!! at least we won a $20 gift card to Fortunoff & to the hotel (which I might use to go there for lunch....prob. won't stay there the night of the wedding!).

BTW......it made me feel better to hear one of the BM's telling the couple that they can't have it on a Saturday!!! So I bet there's a lot of restrictions....and it's just for the reception, no vendors included. I was asking someone who worked there about how many people 50K would cover, and they said prob. around 125-150!! But I guess it depends on what time of year and all that jazz.

Yes restriction: NO SATURDAYS; NO VENDORS ONLY THURS OR FRIDAY NIGHT...and 50k and only 125-150 I have 225 on my list and that was cutting down from 300....yes we know 300 people....We are very bery bery friendly.
You probaly heard me cursing out loud 'Spin that darn thing' at the drawing...

wow!! with 225 its probably a blessing you didn't win the free wedding!!! you'd still be paying a lot out of your own pocket to have it there!! and I was not a fan of that carpet at all!!! it was making me dizzy I had to get out of there!!

Just wanted to say I love your photo booth pics!!! FH doesn't go near any of these events with me anymore (I got him to go to two, that's his limit!! I would've loved to do the photobooth though!!!

We were there too. The food was food but FH and I were a little irritated that the couple was not engaged too. And when the crowd started saying propose it didn't look like he was getting down on one knee

Hey I remember seeing you there. Wasnt it crazy!!!!
But looking back at how many people it really covered against what I have invited..I would still come out with spending mad $$$$$$$$$$

That is why I am going to their 'Girls Night Out' on Thursday to try and win more stuff.
