Soooooooo hard to be good (trying South Beach) and our work kitchen is FULL of potato salad, BBQ potato chips, rainbow cookies and like 3 different kinds of brownies...with caramel on them. Waaaa!!!!
Update: What is with this day! Office birthday party now- and while they usually have something weird like an apricot mousse cake that I wouldn't want, today they have a strawberry Haagen Daz cake with PINTS of Rocky Road, Dulce de Leche and some other flavor, AND Reddi Whip! Ahhh!

Believe me....stick with it, it's so worth it! South Beach is the one and only diet that ever worked for me! It's very tempting, especially at work to stay away from the no-no's...but it's worth it!

Would you believe I went from that into a meeting for a half hour where a dessert tray sat right in front of me the whole time? I need to reward myself somehow for not giving in! Perhaps a brownie?

I agree!! I lost 30 lbs on South beach and kept them off for the most part (a fluctuation of 2-3 lbs is what I normally have). Now I'm on Weight Watchers because I was on South Beach for a while, and wanted a more balanced diet. But its so great for the beginning stages of weight loss. Try to be fairly strict the first month, and it will be worth it. I NEVER thought I could lose the weight, and I'm sooo happy that I did! Good luck!

Thanks for the support, ladies! I actually went out and got this delicious 'no bread sandwich' from Pret a Manger.

Well, I am hoping it's what I am allowed to eat! It's fresh mozzarella, tomato (although I tossed those out) lettuce, avocado, basil and pine nuts. Dressing comes on the side...I got balsamic vinagrette (which had soy sauce as an ingredient-weird).
