Ex brother in law invite? Help!,

My fiancé 's best friend is his ex brother in law who is married to his ex wife's sister. They have been thru everything together and he is truly happy for us. The obvious problem is that having him at our wedding means having his ex wife's sister there. That would make me sooo uncomfortable. Although fiancé feels this man should be invited, he totally understands the problem and will do whatever I want. What should we do?. I don't think inviting him without his wife is polite in any way. Help,!

Ex brother in law invite? Help!, - Long Island Weddings

I'm a little confused, let me know if I have this right. The best friends wife is your fiances ex sister in law? If I have that right, then I wouldn't worry to much about her being there. I think it is more important for your FH best friend to be there then to cause potential drama by not inviting his wife. From what I hear, you will be so busy on your day and it will go by so quickly that I don't think you'll have time to worry about her being there.

Re: Ex brother in law invite? Help!,

I am confused also, it sounds like your FH was married before and your don't want his ex-wife's sister at your wedding.

In no way can you invite a husband and not a wife.

I understand you will be very uncomfortable. You don't mention how the relationship is with your FH and his ex. If things are somewhat good, I would go out for drinks with the guy and his wife and see how things good. I think all parties understand how difficult/weird the situation is, but I do think you need to make an effort prior to your wedding for your FH sake.
