Does anyone plan on going to this resort for their honeymoon? Or Has anyone ever been to this resort or any other resorts in Punta Cana? We are seriously considering going there for our HM. TIA!

My friend got married at secrets punta cana!! It was absolutely beautiful!!They loved it there!! The food was excellent too believe it or not!! I stayed at sunscape which i really liked it was beautiful!! The pool rean from the lobby all the way to the beach. The only thing about sunscape is that they are family friendly but we went in october and there was no one there!!! It was excellent. The one they got married at was Secrets it is adult only i know my friends loved it and two of my patients went last year and they loved it as well. The worst part of the whole trip was the drive to and from the airport. There are no paved roadways. It's a one lane dirt road and the buses fly up it!! Our driver actually blew out two tires on the way there!! It was scary as hell so just be prepared for that!!!!

I went there this past Feb with my FH for vacation and we really liked it. Great food for an all incl and beautiful pools and ocean. I would def recommend. We loved that there were no kids around either. The one thing I would say is it is very secluded so you can't walk down the beach to other hotels. Once you are there, you are there. With that said, we had a great time and enjoyed it very much. Check out tripadvisor.com comments for others opins.

Was the water really rough? Like sooo rough that u cant go in without possibly drowning? On trip advisor a couple of people said it was really bad.

We went there on vacation and it was amazing. The staff bent over backwards for you. The room was immaculate!! There were so many choices for dinner and every place was great. We tell everyone to go there.

No, the water wasn't deadly rough. We read the same thing and we honestly think that perhaps some of those comment s came from people who have never been in an ocean before. I don't mean to sound insensitive to those people but for us LIW brides, living out on Long ISland, the water there is similar to the ocean when there are waves....it is not calm like the Carribean can be. So if you are ok with big waves etc., you'll be fine....if you want calm, Carribean waters, you may want to look for something else.

OMG Punta Cana is AMAZING!! We got engaged there in May. We stayed at Paradisus Palma Real. I HIGHLY recommend this 5-star resort.
