DH and I stayed at the Excellence Riviera Cancun this past July and we loved it! The staff was so great, the grounds were beautiful and the food was delicious. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from so you'll always be able to find something you like. We loved that there were so many pools winding throughout the property. The beach was nice, but just so you know it's not the crystal blue water you'd see on a Caribbean island. It's clear, just not as clear. If you look it up on tripadvisor.com you'll find tons of reviews and pictures.

we went in July. It was hot, but really not too bad since everywhere you go has AC and we pretty much just stayed in the pool all day anyway. It only rained twice while we were there. Once for about 10 min at night. And then we saw the very start of a hurricane that was on its way in on the day we were leaving.
