My Excellence Riviera Cancun Honeymoon <3
Sam! I made my review extra long and I posted ALOT of pictures for you! :]
I had an AWESOME honeymoon at this resort
Everything was amazing
The food, people, service, pools, drinks... etc
While Florida/the Caribbean’s were hit by a hurricane. Mexico had beautiful sunny weather~~
The weather was sooooo nice!!!
When we arrived we were greeted by our bell boy and he took our luggages. We went into the lobby and OMG we fell in love.
We were greeted by a wonderful lady who took us to the Excellence Club lounge for a private check in and gave us champagne to start. We were brought into a room that had a chess table, books, movies, bar, computer for internet, TV, seats & a mini buffet table. This was where the Excellence Club members lounge. The concierge lady checked us in and informed us that we get free couple massage, breakfast in bed and dinner at the beach for being honeymooners. After check-in the bell boy took us up to our room.
We had an amazing view in our room we had a view of the Excellence Club beach and under us we had the Excellence Club pool. We were on the top floor so when were lying on our bed looking out into the ocean. It was heaven!
We lounged at the pool the 2nd day. The drinks and service was amazing!
We went back in the room and I did see a lot of ants.
THE ANTS IN MEXICO ARE SOOO SMALL!
The maid left chocolate in the room for us and there was ants all over it.
I spent a good hour spraying bug spray on the walls. After I killed them all they never came back. So it was all good~
At nights the resort has different events and shows which are sooo very cool and fun~
For example the 1st night we were there, there was a Caribbean festival. They had a buffet set up at the beach with musicians. There we were very blessed and met some great people that I will never forget. They also had game night, Mexican Festival, poker night, circus show…etc.
The massage was very relaxing
The dinner at the beach was VERY romantic
The breakfast in bed wasn't anything special
Our room services was top notch!
Let me talk a little about the activities that we did,
We did dolphin swimming, Chichen Itza, VIP shopping, & the Jungle tour
Everything was AMAZING our favorite was the Jungle tour just because you get to drive your own speedboat LOL
As for the food our favorite was the room service because we got to choose from all different kinds of food and the Spice. Spice is WONDERFUL sushi was good curry & the pad thai was REALLY good. sooo yummy
Our least favorite was Toscana and I am a HUGE fan of Italian food. We weren't too fond of the lobster house either the lobster was too dry and over cooked.
I hope I didn't miss anything important. There are a lot of reviews about their musty smell but its not bad AT ALL. I brought candles and spray just in case and didn't even use it. When you go, be sure to pack bug spray since there are a lot of mosquito's.

Going into the resort by van (at the airport make sure you find YOUR TA company. There are a lot of people in uniform trying to sell you time shares and the taxis at the airport rip you off so becareful~)
