I have a friend who stayed at both they said PM was better...it's newer. Both are amazing though so u really cant go wrong with either one.

our friends stayed at the RC for their HM and loved it, they said they would go back.

Re: Excellence Riviera Cancun vs. Excellence Playa Mujeres

We just booked Playa Mujeres. We chose it over Riviera Cancun for two reasons...
1. It is newer & more modern, and that is more our style.
2. The rooftop terrace room is only available at PM and we really wanted it!!!

I am staying at Playa Mujeres so my vote is biased but we chose it because it looked nicer and was new. We also chose it because of the wonerful rooftop terrace with private pool!! So can not wait!!!
