My fiance and I are thinking about booking the Excellence Riviera Maya Resort in Mexico....my only concern is all the negative reviews I have read about the beach there. Anyone have experience with the beach at this resort??? We put down our deposit but now I am rethinking this.

I am going to Mexico, different resort though.

I have heard that everything if not most of the beach is repaired and back to normal. Did you Travel Agent give you any info on it?

My friends are going to Excellence in March and their Travel Agent told them everything was fine.

I am 100% more of a pool person, so I was not really concerned with the beach

I have been reading trip advisor and they are calling the beach an eyesore...whatever that means. We booked through a travel agent and she said actually didn't give us too much information about the beach. We were so focused on the room rates I guess we forgot to ask.

My FH and I got engaged in Riviera Maya but at the Aventura Spa Palace Resort. I highly recommend that resort if you want to go to Mexico. We had such a great time. They treat you like you are on your honeymoon there.

the beaches in riviera maya aren't the greatest. when fh and i went there in july we only went in the pool. if ur looking for a resort with a nice beach this one isn't for you. sorry but thats JMO
